ULI Mainland China is pleased to release a new report titled, "Ten Principles of Urban Regeneration - Making Shanghai a Better City", based on a series of seminars and discussions held over 5 months earlier this year by well over 100 ULI member volunteers and experts from both mainland China and abroad. In particular, in March ULI Mainland China convened a 2-day workshop to identify key challenges of urban regeneration in Shanghai, residents' aspirations, and key principles for successful urban regeneration. The report, available in English and Chinese, contains 20 relevant case studies from both mainland China and abroad to illustrate the key principles. The funding for the study was provided by ULI Foundation and eighteen ULI member companies.
The release event will consist of an announcement of the 10 principles and a panel discussion, followed by a cocktail party. The announcement will be made by Henry Cheng, CEO of Chongbang Group and Chair, ULI Mainland China, and Albert Chan, Director of Development Planning & Design, Shui On Land. The panel discussion will be moderated by Jonathan Woetzel, Director of McKinsey & Company. The Panelists include:
